Freedom Force vs. the Third Reich Previews

Both Gamer’s Hell and GameZone have put together a previews of Freedom Force vs. the Third Reich, after getting the chance to try out a limited press build of the game. An excerpt from the article at Gamer’s Hell:

Graphically speaking the game looks great. It is a top-down isomorphic perspective that can be zoomed in and out to an almost 3rd person view. The super heroes look great and very detailed. With the graphics engine they used the whole game looks like it was taken straight from the pages of a comic book. It looks like XIII but without the extreme cel-shading. The animations are great as are the special effects. Again I cannot wait to see what they add in the final version.

And a snip from GameZone’s preview:

It’s hard to really break down the meat of this game, considering it was only one level and title (co-stars) didn’t make an appearance. Freedom Force was an award-winning title when released several years ago. It really didn’t have much competition in the game class, but since then Raven’s (and Activision’s) X-Men team fighting title has made its appearance on the consoles. Freedom Force falters by comparison to that title, but looked at on its own, it still provides a challenging comic book-style adventure.
