Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone Review

Techconnect Magazine has posted a four-page review of Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone, based on their impressions of the game’s PC version. There is no overall score, but here’s a snip from their conclusion:

The poor transition to the PC makes it hard to recommend even to hardcore action fans. The conversion was so careless that while the game menus have to be operated with keystrokes or a joypad, the game’s main control settings uses the mouse. It’s a common problem with console conversions, but not one we intend on getting used to.

The story and its narration, on the other hand, are fantastic, and the game’s charm comes through in more than one place. It should be tried at least once, at least for the story. Hearing proper dialogue and character development in a videogame does the old cynical heart good.
