Fable III Understone Quest Pack DLC Reviews

Judging by the trio of new reviews for Lionhead’s Understone Quest Pack, there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of enthusiasm for the Fable III DLC.

IGN gives it a 4.5/10:

The Understone Quest Pack may only ring up at 400 points ($5 USD) but it’s such a superfluous add-on that I can’t recommend it. If you’ve already completed Fable III, you are so powerful that you can easily bulldoze through the two combat areas the Understone quest and the Wheel of Misfortune minigame. I blazed through all three new activities in well under an hour and then returned Fable III to my shelf. Hopefully, future DLC will offer monarchs an actual challenge, but based on the simplicity of this initial effort, I’m certainly not going to worry about getting blood on my crown any time soon.

Xbox360Achievements.org gives it a 6/10:

If anything, it’d be wise to use the Undertown Quest Pack as an excuse to re-enter Albion and mop up whatever you have left over because although it might be fun, the Undertown story arch itself won’t last that long. Here’s hoping whatever Lionhead have planned for Fable III is of similar ilk to Fable II’s DLC and a bit meatier than this.

And Xbox Gaming gives it a 3.5/5:

At the end of the day the Understone Quest DLC should be seen as a challenge pack, rather than a proper game add-on. If your interest lies solely in more story quests, then you may find yourself disappointed with the lack of longevity and overall creativity in this new DLC. However, if you just have to own every legendary weapon, shop, and high score, then 400 MS Points isn’t half bad for a few more hours of fun in Fable 3.
