Dying Light will get a new PvP expansion in 2018

Earlier today, Techland announced a new standalone expansion for their 2015 zombie survival game, Dying Light.

Bad Blood is a battle royale-inspired DLC that pits six players against each other in a battle for loot. In order to secure a seat on the extraction chopper, players must scavenge for blood samples while avoiding zombies and a potential knife in the back from another survivor.

On the game’s website, Techland put a lot of emphasis on emergent teamwork and dynamic alliances. A statement from the company reads:

“Our aim is both to satisfy players’ demands for competitive PvP gameplay and to explore new directions for Dying Light’s multiplayer experience,” said Tymon Smektala, Producer at Techland. “Since Bad Blood was inspired by fan requests, we want player feedback to be an integral part of our development. That’s why we’re inviting Dying Light fans to take part in our Global Playtest. They can play the expansion early and share their thoughts, knowing their feedback will have a major influence on Bad Blood’s development.”

Starting this month, the Polish developer will be running a global playtest of Dying Light: Bad Blood. It is free to enter, but keys are not guaranteed.
