Dungeons & Dragons Tactics Previews

Both GameSpot and WorthPlaying have published updated previews of Atari and Kuju Entertainment’s Dungeons & Dragons Tactics. A snip from GameSpot’s article:

Kuju estimates that the story mode–which can be played from the perspective of good or evil–will take the majority of players at least 100 hours to complete. If you have a lot of experience with Dungeons & Dragons, however, it’s conceivable that you might be able to beat the game in around 40 hours, particularly if you choose to take advantage of the game’s “chess mode,” which speeds up the proceedings by doing away with all of the movement and combat animations.

And a snip from WorthPlaying’s article:

Kuju claims that D&D Tactics is the (most authentic interpretation of the D&D 3.5 ruleset) to ever find its way into a video game. You can create a party of six adventurers using a point-buy system a lot like what was found in Knights of the Old Republic. All eleven standard D&D character classes are available fighter, sorcerer, wizard, cleric, druid, bard, paladin, ranger, monk, barbarian, and rogue as well as the psion and psychic warrior.
