Drakensang: The Dark Eye Reviews

Radon Labs’ Drakensang: The Dark Eye is the subject of a few more mediocre to favorable reviews across the ‘net.

The first is at Digital Spy with a score of 3/5:

In conclusion, Drakensang: The Dark Eye is a reasonably competent fantasy RPG but offers little more than any other title of its kind. Fans of the genre will lap this one up but may be left ultimately indifferent by its level of predictability. That said, it’s nice to see that some studios are still flying the flag for the single player RPG in an age where MMOs are slowly phasing them out.

The second is at Bit-tech with a score of 6/10:

Drakensang will definitely appeal to any RPG fans who see the old-school mechanics and re-run story as a stroll down memory lane, but here at bit-tech, the clichés and painstakingly slow pace of the game prevent it from ever truly winning us over.

And the third is at VGR with a score of 7.0/10:

Drakensang: The Dark Eye looks quite dated and doesn’t change the face of the RPG world. Having said that, it’s still a charming game that RPG nuts should find some enjoyment out of. Just don’t go expecting the next WoW or FF game and you’ll be fine.
