Dragon Age: Origins Witch Hunt DLC Reviews

Hopefully this latest batch of Witch Hunt reviews will help you determine if Dragon Age: Origins’ final set of DLC is worth your hard-earned dollars.

IGN gives it a 6.5/10:

If you’re willing to spend money to see Morrigan again for about five minutes and get an unsatisfactory explanation of what’s been going on, then you should buy Witch Hunt. If not, then it’s tough to really recommend this downloadable content. The tale of how you find Dragon Age’s sparsely clothed mage is a decent one filled with personality and humor, and the combat encounters, as brief as they are, can be fun, but Witch Hunt ultimately doesn’t provide enough substance to satisfy.

Big Download gives it an “Average” verdict:

Players who really need closure, any kind of closure, with Morrigan should check out the DLC so long as they brace themselves for major disappointment. Considering how inexpensive campaign is, and the the fact that it’s the last one to be released before Dragon Age 2, it’s worthwhile to wait at least until the bugs have been worked out. Otherwise, apart from the nice weapons that come with the DLC, you won’t miss out on anything by passing it up.

Games Eyeview gives it a 6/10:

Also, all of the locations are rehashes from the full game. The one exception to this is the final location, which is actually a rehash from the Awakening expansion. And at the end of it all, there’s just not very much that’s gained from tracking down Morrigan either in terms of plot or goodies to use in game. All in all, this pack feels like a loose end that could have been tied up tighter.

And Game Rant gives it a 1.5/5:

If you’re looking to spend $7 for some closure in your Morrigan relationship, or for some vague hints about Dragon Age 2, then you might consider purchasing Witch Hunt. If you’re looking for the closing chapter on Dragon Age: Origins as a whole, you’ll not find it here. If there had even been a hint of that in the DLC’s closing moments, I’d likely have much more positive comments. As it stands though, Witch Hunt dismisses the choices I made in Origins as the wrong ones.
