Dragon Age: Origins Leliana’s Song DLC Reviews

A few more reviews of Leliana’s Song have trickled in for those of you who have yet to pick up the story-based Dragon Age: Origins DLC.

Joystiq doesn’t score it:

But for me, “Leliana’s Song” was a great opportunity to get to know one of the characters that I didn’t spend much time with on my own. Despite the application of our cruel gamer’s calculus, $7 for two hours of game still clocks well below a movie ticket and falls within what I’m comfortable spending on entertainment. If you’ve long since finished Dragon Age: Origins, and don’t want to revert to an earlier save for your DLC, you too may welcome the condensed experience that “Leliana’s Song” offers.

Smashpad gives it a 7.5/10:

When all is said and done, Leliana’s Song is an admirable addition to the Dragon Age: Origins storyline, but with only three hours of content there really is nothing here to write home about. Fans of the game that are looking to gain some back-story on one of the game’s main characters should definitely check it out as it offers insight to some of the dialogue and story segments mentioned during Origins. While fans who are only interested in the dealings of the Grey Wardens might be disappointed, the back-story offered here is solid enough where hopefully Bioware will release more in the future that will potentially cross paths with more characters from Origins.

And PlayStation LifeStyle gives it a 7/10:

While the content is very short, it is also a very enjoyable experience overall. The game itself does a great job of telling Leliana’s backstory, featuring fully voiced cutscenes throughout Leliana’s Song. This is definitely a pickup for diehard fans of the Dragon Age: Origins and especially for fans of Leliana. But given the length of the DLC, it is hard to recommend it to anyone else. Though for those on edge, the price is definitely fair for what it offers. The downloadable content can be purchased for $6.99 in the PlayStation Store.
