Dragon Age: Origins Grey Warden and Darkspawn Letter Openers

BioWare and Epic Weapons have announced that you can now purchase the very same swords wielded by Dragon Age: Origins’ “heroic” Grey Wardens and “savage” Darkspawn, only in a miniature letter opener size. The items come in both standard (here and here) and collector’s (here and here) editions, though the latter editions will obviously set you back a few more dollars. Since I’ve already pre-ordered the CE versions (I’m a sucker for limited edition video game trinkets), here are their descriptions:

From the first, the legendary warriors of the Grey Wardens sacrificed everything to stem the tide of darkness. They drew the most powerful mages and the deadliest soldiers from all races and forged them into a fighting force that time and time again drove back the Blight. They remain legends, watching with vigilance for the return of their ancient foe, and stand ready to do battle once more when that day arrives.

This Collector’s Edition authentic miniature Grey Warden’s Render Sword, used as a letter opener, is the weapon wielded by the heroic Grey Wardens when they are faced with darkspawn. The Collector’s Edition letter opener is cast with the highest quality steel with an ancient gold handle, custom etched molds and was created using the finest grade materials and craftsmanship.

Every few hundred years a dreaded Blight occurs. Frenzied Darkspawn led by an Arch demon spread throughout the land destroying everything in their path. The Darkspawn horde is led into battle by the dreaded Hurlock, an unnaturally strong creature known to wield massive Greatswords that can effortlessly slice through armor, bone, and flesh.

This Collector’s Edition miniature replica Darkspawn Greatsword, used as a letter opener, is the weapon wielded by the savage Hurlocks. The miniature replica is cast with the highest quality Japanese stainless steel with an ancient gold plated handle, custom etched molds and was created using the finest grade materials and craftsmanship.
