Dragon Age: Inquisition Voice Over Contest Open

In case you’ve always dreamed about your voice being featured in a video game, BioWare has opened a voice over contest that will give amateurs a chance to get a voicing gig for Dragon Age: Inquisition:

Starting at 12:01 p.m. PST on February 25, 2014, we’re offering you a chance to Take Your Place in the Inquisition by lending your voice to a character in the next Dragon Age game.

All you have to do is download one of the following two scripts, upload your performance, and send the link to takeyourplace@BioWare.com, and you’ll be automatically entered to win.

Don’t worry about accents, makeup, or props all we want is for you to perform your preferred script in your lovely, natural speaking voice. If you want to go big, by all means, be our guest. However, be aware that your entry will be judged on the quality of the voice performance and how well it matches the style of Dragon Age.

We also encourage you to share your videos on YouTube and social media and tag them with #TakeYourPlaceDAI.*

The contest closes at 12:01 a.m. PST on March 24, 2014, at which point the collected entries will be judged by a panel of qualified BioWare staff.

The chosen winner will be announced after April 14, 2014. They will be flown to one of our recording studios and provided with up to two nights’ accommodation. Once there, we’ll set them up in a professional recording booth and add their voice to the world of Thedas.

You can find the full details on eligibility and the rules of the contest here, in case you’re interested.
