Dragon Age II Preview

The editors at PCMag are next in line with a quick preview of Dragon Age II, the contents of which I presume are from one of the recent press events. An excerpt:

Hawke’s journey begins as a refugee who survives the destruction of his homeland. During this period in the story, your “Dragon Age: Origins” character has driven the Darkspawn back and defeated the Arch Demon. If you’ve already played through the first game, you can import your game to “Dragon Age II,” allowing key choices you made in the first game to take effect in this universe. However, if you haven’t finished the game you have the option at the start of the game to customize certain attributes of the world, like selecting whether Alistair or Anora is now the king.

“Dragon Age II’s” story plays out much like “The Princess Bride” you are being told a story about how Hawke became Champion of Kirkwall, but you create the lore that surrounds your hero’s legend. The story takes place over the course of 10 years, so you will bounce between time periods. As in any Bioware game, your choices will determine who you are: Will you be good, evil, or somewhere in between?
