Divinity: Original Sin II Patch v3.0.180.158 Live

Larian Studios has released a new patch for Divinity: Original Sin II that instead of drastically altering the game focuses on delivering minor tweaks and changes. And in the process, it adds localization modding support, introduces some additional functionality to the Game Master mode, and deals with plenty of bugs. Here’s an excerpt from the extensive patch notes:

Changes and improvements

  • Crippling blow no longer hits allies
  • Can now force formation when entering combat (formation UI)
  • Listening in on another player’s dialogue now autoscrolls
  • Made puzzle maze portals interactable so that you can click both them and the gargoyle
  • Improved physics on pipes and cogs in imp level in COS
  • Improved a JumpToTurn story call so it doesn’t cause loss of turns in combat
  • Improved sound fx on sand storm
  • Teleporting party characters outside of combat unchains them
  • Certain characters that used to overreact to stealing will now first warn you
  • Without pet pal, animals now animate and play sound fx when talked to
  • When a character triggers a “stop stealing” dialog, another character can no longer rob the NPC blind without a reaction
  • Followers and summons can now use the toggle actions button to perform certain actions
  • Kemm’s journal is quest item now so you can’t sell it (by accident)
  • Removed toys from treasure tables because they were confusing
  • Attacking Gareth during ritual now interrupts it
  • Added difficulty filter to lobby in controller mode
  • All party members can talk to Victor Flynn about the coffin regardless of who read the letter
  • Skillbooks now show required weapon

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a crash related to casting tentacle lash in certain conditions
  • Fixed a crash related to listening to dialogs started by players that have left the game
  • Fixed quicksave crashing under certain conditions
  • Fixed a rare crash loading into the nameless isle (runtime error)
  • Removed skill battle shouts on humanoid NPC’s
  • Fixed party members becoming unchained after using certain waypoints or entrances
  • Fixed savegame names sometimes having the wrong location by default
  • Fixed not being able to equip items from the player’s main character just after recruiting new companions (when using a controller)
  • Fixed not seeing the second player’s portrait sometimes when joining the game in splitscreen
  • Fixed Reactive Shot not working correctly in the bonus range area when the player has higher ground
  • Fixed turn being skipped when stopping a moving character (when using a controller)
  • Fixed error 300 on loading savegames (for specific cases)
  • Fixed dialog log being cleared for the host when removing other players from the active party
  • Fixed Action Point bar sometimes disappearing (when using a controller)
  • Fixed Hanag’s Supply Kit disappearing when loading a savegame
  • Fixed Laser Ray sound effects
  • Fixed portraits for characters that were shapeshifted when entering the magic mirror
  • Fixed several dialog logic issues with shapeshifted characters
  • Fixed potential performance drop when a female lizard character is charmed or sleeping
  • Fixed timing and text for several journal updates
  • Fixed not being able to receive quest rewards while having a charmed or polymorphed status. Reward is now delayed until player regains control of his character
  • Fixed Lucky Charm not being shared between characters in the same party in multiplayer
  • Fixed host lobby sometimes not appearing in LAN tab
  • Fixed Matis sitting animation in Fort Joy
  • Fixed first character in Driftwood arena having to skip turn
  • Fixed being able to tell Slane you have killed Radeka even if you have not
  • Fixed blessing bloodflow in Arx only working on part of the blood
  • Fixed some AI grids
  • Fixed paladin Blanchefort in Arx sometimes not giving reward
  • Fixed roof on the Heroic Rescue quest house so that voidwoken cannot fly through it
  • Fixed arena saying current turn is -1 if turns set to unlimited
  • Fixed that you can talk to Ryker again after fleeing combat with him
  • Fixed missing corpses of Lynn Pryce and Conway Pryce, if their spirits were consumed
  • Fixed rare case bug of dialog not starting in End game tomb if you had made certain decisions
  • Fixed combat not starting with Vasyna after you chose dialog option to fight
  • Fixed doctor in Arx still inviting player after turning hostile
  • Fixed Dallis in other form not attacking anymore
  • Fixed Dorian Gall having generic behaviour active when it doesn’t make sense
  • Fixed Fane’s dialog not accounting for aborted love scene (Dark night of the Soul)
  • Fixed that your betrayed companions could rejoin your party after accepting Doctor’s pact
  • Fixed magic mirror in controller UI still showing active search window
  • Fixed Baran Levere not recognizing Ifan (Act 2)
  • Fixed Eithne asking for the book after giving it to her
  • Fixed NPCs sometimes joining combat with neutral alignment in multiplayer where it doesn’t make sense
  • Fixed dialogue between Shadow Prince and Red Prince where they don’t seem to know each other

  • Spoiler: Fixed an issue related to destroying the Meistr’s Chair in her basement, causing her to return to her house
