DIVINITY II: THE DRAGON KNIGHT SAGA FOR XBOX 360 SOARS INTO STORES ACROSS NORTH AMERICA; NEW UNBOXING VIDEO RELEASED!

It “soars” into stores because dragons are awesome.

IRVINE, CALIFORNIA — APRIL 12, 2011 — Atlus today announced that Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga for Xbox®360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, its 100-plus hour action RPG, is now available in stores across North America.  The game, which represents the definitive version of the Divinity II saga, offers gamers a tremendous wealth of content.  A fully realized fantasy world, inhabited by nuanced, well-written (and well-voiced) characters, serves as the setting for a rousing tale of a long absent nemesis rising up to threaten an already war-torn realm.  In addition to numerous quests to solve, secrets to uncover, and new abilities to master, The Dragon Knight Saga also allows players to take to the skies as a powerful, fire-breathing dragon.

“Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga represents one of the greatest values for RPG fans thus far this year,” said Aram Jabbari, Manager of PR and Sales at Atlus.  “Also, it has dragons.  It offers Xbox 360 system owners a polished, balanced experience, with a completely redone graphics engine and overhauled interface that delivers on the full promise of Divinity II.  Moreover, it doesn’t just depend on stats and loot to earn its ‘RPG’ moniker.  Did I mention it has dragons in it, and that you can become one?  The Dragon Knight Saga provides gamers with difficult choices, often with no clear right or wrong, that have lasting effects on the player character and the world they inhabit.  With over 100 hours of content via what is essentially two adventures in one package, meaningful character progression, memorable quests, fast-paced action RPG combat, and the thrill of flying and dogfighting as a gigantic dragon–did I mention the game has dragons?–and all for only $39.99, it’s hard to find a better bang-for-buck purchase right now.”

Also released today was the official unboxing video for Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga.  Viewers are treated to an incredibly skilled and professional opening and displaying of the game, the free, 21-track soundtrack CD included inside every launch copy, and the 52-page, full color art book (7.5″ wide x 5.25″ tall) only guaranteed to pre-order customers.  The professionalism of the video only falters once or twice, and only momentarily, as the narrator fails to resist the urge to sniff and caress the items at hand.

Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga, plus the bonus soundtrack CD and art book, are only $39.99.  The art book, while only a pre-order bonus, may still be available at some retailers at launch, so interested gamers are advised not to delay!  Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga for Xbox 360 system is now available in stores across North America.  For more information, visit http://www.divinity2-saga.com.
