To explain, I must delve into the history of Divinity from the outset was planned as a trilogy, even before the work on the first game started Divinity . We tell a complete, but complex history into a living, evolving universe. And the end of Divinity 2 shows exactly what at the time of conclusion of the story in this universe happens. It emphasizes several characteristics of the main characters.

Greatly simplified, turns the Divinity universe to a boy, because his father lost his great love. His revenge, he then transmitted to the whole world. Only his father could stop him, he wants his son, but not lose.

Divinity 2 recounts as part of the trilogy of this conflict, and the end fits into this story. As the story just takes a certain course, were at this point, no alternative endings possible – we will however look at how we future, the desire for alternative ends meet.
