Deus Ex: Invisible War Reviews

Another pair of reviews have surfaced for Ion Storm’s recently released Deus Ex sequel. The first is at failmath.com:

You’ll notice that I haven’t mentioned the frame rate, which provides the basis for the majority of complaints against the game. I will say this much: I played Max Payne 2 at the highest possible resolution with the highest possible antialiasing, and it ran faster than Deus Ex 2 at 640×480. This is, admittedly, pretty awful. But this isn’t something I will hold against it when there are so many more valid reasons. Nor have I mentioned the exclusion of leaning, reloading, or even different ammunition types, but this is all pointless because Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic outshines Deus Ex 2 in every way. As a RPG it is orders of magnitude deeper, with a superb plot and characters you actually care about. As an action game the battles are more strategic and enjoyable. And ironically, though KOTOR was originally designed as an XBox game, its PC version is much, much better than Deus Ex 2’s.

And the second is at Gamers Saga (in all caps):

ALL IN ALL THE GAME HAS ITS PLUSES LIKE TONS OF OPTIONS AND WAYS THE PLAYER CAN COMPLETE THE GAME HOWEVER THE GRAPHICS ARE WEAK. IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH EYE CANDY YOUR EYES NEED BUT FOR SURE ITS A MUST RENT.
