Deep Silver Teases Dead Island Announcement This Year

Videogamer.com has published a snippet of an interview they had with Deep Silver’s creative director Guido Eickmeyer, in which Deep Silver’s employee hints at a possible Dead Island announcement this year.

“Well, it would be surprising to shut down a franchise after such an outstanding success. What I can tell you at this point: There will be a lot of exciting news for our fans this year.”

Videogamer.com seems to assume that this will be a next-gen full-fledged sequel, which is perfectly possible, but given the vague wording it might well be something else entirely.

Either way, fans of the zombie-filled first-person hack’n’slash seem to have a bright future ahead.
