Dark Souls II Shipped 1.2 Million Copies in US and Europe

In a document outlining financial highlights of the fiscal year that ended in March 2014 for Namco Bandai we learn that Dark Souls II has shipped 1.2 million copies in Europe and the US. Note that these results don’t include Japan (for rather obvious reasons) or PC copies, given the PC version of the title was only released in late April. Unless there’s a huge mismatch between shipped and sold copies, these results seem to be in line with the original title’s, though it remains to be seen whether Dark Souls II will have the same legs of the original and whether Namco will be satisfied considering they apparently invested more in the game’s marketing and treated it as a “massive triple-A title”.
