DAoC Quick Leveling Guide

Over at Voodooextreme, the new main man there (used to be Billy – I haven’t been keeping up with the comments sections on their site so don’t have any more info than that but I digress), who is really digging Dark Age of Camelot, posted his 10 ways to level quickly mini-guide. A few:

8) Start off solo. Yep, that’s right, for the first 6 levels or so you’ll level up much faster on your own as opposed to grouping. Just go into automatic pilot mode and kill green and blue mobs for cheap xp and loot for a couple hours and you’ll be golden. For instance, if you start off in Galpen in Midgard (trolls, mostly), there are literally a nice enough assortment of mobs you can harvest within a two minute walking distance to go from level 1 to level 6 in less than two hours. Stay focused on the killing, and just get the early levels over with asap.

7) Grouping with higher-level people rocks. If you have friends who are higher level than you, for the love of Pete try getting them to let you join so they can power your ass up in levels. For example, when we were level 12, we brought on a level 6 character and got him up to level 10 in less than an hour. The xp system is very forgiving when it comes to catching people up to where you are.
