Camelot Grab Bag Q&A

Mythic’s Sanya Thomas has kicked out another Grab Bag Q&A over at Camelot Herald, answering questions about item bonuses, the upcoming Roundtable gathering, and more. One of the questions and its answer to follow:

Q: Before you all decided to hold off on the heal-breaks-mez-when-the-mezzed-player-is-at-full-health change, you said that chants, regens, and pulses would not break mez, and only heal spells would. We paladins beg to differ! Our chant was indeed breaking mez. Even though the mez change didn’t end up happening, why are we different?

A: After dozens of paladins wrote to inform me of my error, I asked the designers. They told me that unlike all the other pulses/regens/chants, the paladin spell is unique in that a pally is actually casting a heal spell each cycle. So there you have it – you’re not chanting, you’re automatically casting a small heal every few seconds. No, I don’t know why you’re special, you just are.
