BioWare Interviewed

Stomped has posted up an interview with both Ray Muzyka And Greg Zeschuk of BioWare. They are both asked quite a few questions pertaining to what they feel the year 2000 did for gaming and where gaming is going in 2001. Here’s a quick excerpt of a question asked to Ray Muzyka:

Stomped: What can we expect from you in the year 2001 in terms of the games you are developing?

Dr. Muzyka: Neverwinter Nights is coming out in fall 2001 and it is very exciting. Using the 3rd edition D&D rules, NWN really represents an unique concept, something fundamentally different from any game made thus far. The game is an online roleplaying game that can be played either single or multiplayer, with up to 64 players on each distributed server. The servers are run on players’ computers, and they can be linked to each other through portals – in effect creating a massively multiplayer world, but one that can be played for free once people have purchased the retail version of the product.
