TURBINE UNLOCKS ASHERON’S CALL: DARK MAJESTY® FOR ALL AC1 SUBSCRIBERS

WESTWOOD, Mass. Feb. 4, 2004 Expansion pack content in the fantasy world of Dereth in the award winning massively multiplayer online role playing game Asheron’s Call: Dark Majesty® (ACDM) is no longer limited to players who purchased the video game expansion pack. Later this month, the ACDM expansion pack content will be unlocked for all Asheron’s Call® 1 players.

ACDM affords gamers with an additional colorful continent, Marae Lassal, for extended adventuring from the original game. In addition, original AC1 players will now be able to purchase player housing, previously available only from the expansion pack.

(In recent months, a lot of previous subscribers have said they wanted to come back to the game. If they left before the expansion pack, they can return to the game and have all the newest content without having to buy the ACDM software,) said Jessica Mulligan, executive producer, Turbine Entertainment Software Corp. (Opening ACDM to the entire Asheron’s Call 1 community will give players a chance to adventure and explore with their AC1 friends without the previous restrictions on in-game geography.)

Turbine will make the content available through the game servers, with no impact on listed subscriptions or the lobbies that players use to enter the game. AC1 gamers who currently use the non-Dark Majesty lobbies can continue to do so they will be able to access all the ACDM content through any AC lobby.
