Hogwarts Legacy Introduces Mirabel Garlick, Herbology Professor

The Hogwarts Legacy team unveiled yet another new character in a tweet on November 30th. Mirabel Garlick is going to be the Herbology professor at Hogwarts, putting her in charge of all the magical plants in the school’s greenhouse.

She is the fourth character and third professor in a two-week span to be revealed via character card. Like her fellow professors, but unlike student Amit Thakkar, her “card” is a short animated video that transitions back-and-forth between profile and character bio. As well as the card, the tweet was also captioned: “From Mandrakes to Venomous Tentacula, learn from the best with Hogwarts’ Herbology extraordinaire. #HogwartsLegacy“

Her pun-ridden bio describes her as having a “sunny demeanor and flower language,” and describes a background of having grown up around muggles before finally finding her place once she arrived at the magical school of Hogwarts. Being a professor, we know that Mirabel will be in charge of one of the classes that players will be able to attend (for unknown benefit) in the school, and it seems likely that she may be involved in quests or collectibles involving plants around the school grounds. Beyond that, her role in the game is unknown.

Whatever the case, all these character reveals has us quite excited to learn more about Hogwarts Legacy, especially regarding the role all these characters are going to play in the game itself. After all, there is only so much gardening we can do in the wintertime, before Hogwarts Legacy finally releases on February 10th, 2023!
