You’ll receive this quest from a dying soldier near the eastern entrance to Grimmhold.

Walkthrough

The soldier (#1) will tell you that the portcullis in Grimmhold (#2) is closed because the goblins broke the levers that normally control it, and because the backup method, the secondary water gate (#4), is located in the Maintenance Level, which the goblins have under their control. If you want to complete the quest, then you should vow to open the gate, goblins or no.

To reach the secondary water gate, you’ll have to defeat lots of Goblin Hackers and Goblin Archers, including a potentially tough battle against them on a bridge (#3). But when you get to the gate and pull the lever to open it, you’ll receive 400 xp for your efforts.
