Elden Ring supplies the players with a wide variety of elements to incorporate into their builds. Instead of just having “fire”, players can choose from 4 distinct flame types. These are the Black Flame, regular fire in the form of the Fire Monk incantations, the Frenzied Flame, and the Dragon Communion incantations via Agheel’s Flame. While these aren’t the ONLY flame types in the game, they are the most prevalent and the most vital. In this build, we’ll be focusing on implementing all of these flame types into a coherent and ferocious build.
Starting Class
The Lord of All Flame Build is based on the starter stats from the Prophet class. While its design is more aligned to fit the Prophet, you are able to build it with any other class by adjusting a few stats.
What This Build is For
While it’s obviously ideal to focus on a specific damage type or two, this build isn’t about min-maxing your damage to the last decimal place — it’s about being the Lord of All Flames.
Besides the Blood Flame and the Dragon communion incantations, this will naturally be a Faith heavy and flame-focused build. Thus, Faith/Strength will be prioritized, and our weapons will be faith scaling and have flame weapon arts. For our weapons, we’ll be using the Blasphemous Blade, Godslayer’s Greatsword, and Vyke’s War Spear. Each flame type has an individual seal to boost its abilities. Thus, we’ll be equipping the Godslayer’s Seal , Frenzied Flame Seal, and the Erdtree Seal. This build can function in both PvP and PvE, and is meant for level 150.
Its weapon art allows it to summon and send a pillar of fire forward. It remains one of the highest damage-dealing faith weapons in the game and is effective at both close and mid-range combat. Compared to other weapons on this list, the weapon art for this sword has the shortest cast time.
The weapon does black flame damage and performs well at both add-clearing and single combat. The weapon art allows for a second black flame strike to follow after casting again.
Reeking with the Madness of the frenzied flame, this spear offers impressive damage output. This weapon launches you up in the air, and plunges you forward into the ground, spreading frenzied flame in an area of effect.
This build’s weapons all benefit from this talisman, as they all have charged attacks that could be buffed. This will also further our charged incantations.
This incantation summons a dragon overhead and projects fire in a cone shape in front of the user. It’s best to use this incantation for groups of enemies, as bosses or players can usually avoid it.
This incantation sends spews frenzied flame in front of you, inflicting rapid Madness build-up. It’s best to use this incantation when the enemy player is healing or trying to escape.
This incantation can catch enemy players and swarming enemies off guard — it causes the player to roar, dealing black flame damage in a near area of effect. If you want to prioritize using the black flame incantations, equip the Godskin Apostle Set.
While the weapons skills in this build are very damaging, don’t forget that players can dodge them, and use them sparingly. It’s best to utilize them as mix-ups, preventing your attack pattern from becoming predictable and forcing the enemy to dodge with different timings.
Rotations & Strategies for Groups of Enemies
When the enemies start charging towards you, cast Flame, Grant Me Strength to increase our fire damage.
Hold and cast the Blasphemous Blade‘s weapon art (to maximize its damage). The pillars go through multiple enemies, so this should take care of most enemies approaching you.
