Untamed Mountain – Dungeon Siege III Side Quest

This guide provides a walkthrough for a side quest of Dungeon Siege III. Along with the walkthrough is a map and legend, which provides additional information.

Background

Ibsen sighted some royalist soldiers in the Kaari Pass. He suspects that they’re lost, and he suggested that you guide them to safety, if you find them.

Walkthrough

You’ll receive this quest from Ibsen (#1) the first time you talk to him.

Find the Lost Royalists

You’ll find the royalists on the western side of the pass (#2). When you reach them, you’ll discover that they’re being attacked by a group of spiders. Defeating the spiders will rescue the royalists and cause them to start following you.

Guide the Royalists to Safety

To complete the quest, you’ll just need to lead the royalists back to Ibsen (#1). There isn’t any hurry for this, so you can keep the royalists with you while you’re in the pass, and allow them to help you in your battles. When you do return to Ibsen, you’ll receive 537 xp, and Ibsen will allow you to loot the chest next to him (where you’ll probably find a random “green” item).
