Obtained from the corpse of a dead taclak on the Elen’lu Isles, this crystal can focus them and reactivate the Prism of the Elves if all four beams of energy are aimed properly. You were taught as a child that the Prism’s creation was Isteru’s last act. Near the end of his life, he saw that Aranna was growing more dangerous, and although Azunai had successfully ended Zaramoth’s rule, the resulting cataclysm and the power of the Dark Wizards had left the door open for many great evils to surface. Isteru knew that the forest would need protection.The protective magic generated by the Prism is nearly a thousand years old, and some of the elders fear that it is weakening and may not be strong enough to protect against the powerful magic of the Dark Wizards. A few suspect that this weakening is contributing to the decay at the edges of the Vai’lutra Forest. However, since no one knows how long the refractor crystals have been missing, you wonder if the Prism has simply been disabled long enough to let evil seep into the forest.
