The Witch Trees – Drakensang: The Dark Eye Quest

Background

Yasmin (#1) will give you this quest after you’ve stolen the Altar Wine for her in the quest The Stolen Knowledge.

Walkthrough

Yasmin will tell you that the “sun worshippers” (that is, the Praiots) have condemned the witch trees in the Dark Forest, and she’ll ask you to protect them. You’ll find three witch trees under attack (#2). At each tree you’ll have to defeat a half dozen Praiots before they can kill the tree.

Usually in battle it’s best to gang up on one enemy at a time, but in these battles you should spread your characters out — at least initially — so that as many Praiots as possible attack you rather than the trees. This is especially true for the Praiots with the axes, as they’ll do the most damage to the trees.

Each time you protect a tree, you’ll gain 10 experience points. Then when you return to Yasmin (#1) after protecting all three trees, she’ll reward you with Warina’s Hammer and 10 ducats, and you’ll also receive 20 experience points.
