Campsite – Drakensang: The River of Time

Overview

The campsite is your first rest stop and serves as a tutorial location. There is only one quest here, The Night Camp. Take your time and familiarize yourself with your character. You can not return to this location once the quest is closed, so loot every container and harvest every bit of herbage you can find.

1 – Captain Albass

Captain of the Star of Ferdok, talk to him and he will refer you on to Sailor Piet.

2- Sailor Piet and Sailor Janah

Sailor Piet will send you with Sailor Janah to search for Tinder Fungus. Follow Janah to the wet Tinder Fungus near the Old Toll Tower, then into the Tower Ruins (exit A).

3 – Tinder Fungus

Fight off three bats and Janah will pick up the Tinder Fungus when you click on it. Return to Alblass and Piet with it and the captain will send you to the three traveling merchants (#5).

4 – Bowl of Sacrificial Offerings

When you approach this bowl Janah will warn you of the wrath of the River Father. Either convince her it’s all right (fast talk) or move on. The bowl contains 4x River Stone, 2x Old Bronze Coin and 3x A Bleached Bone. Once you’ve touched the bowl, regardless of if you picked anything up, a troll toad will appear that you’ll have to fight. Despite Janah’s warnings, that is about the limit of the wrath of the River Father.

5 – Traveling Merchants

Ardo, Cano and Forgrimm, traveling in disguise. Let them know the camp is set for the night, then return to the captain, who will send you to bed (#6).

6 – Sleeping Mat

The one with the yellow bedroll is yours. Before you use it, be sure to explore the entire island and pick up any herbs and goods present, as this will be your last chance.
You are rudely awoken by a pirate attack. Two pirates attack you as the melee goes on around you. Note that you can not attack any of the pirates except those two and the one fighting Janah. The fight ends the moment you defeat the two attacking you, so for some extra XP take out the one attack Janah first or second. If you try to reach any of the other pirates or run away, the fight ends.
