Grease the Wheels

This guide will walk you through the “Grease the Wheels” quest in Dragon Age: Origins. We will go through all the steps to complete this mission.

Background

You can receive this quest from the Blackstone Irregulars box in Redcliffe (the box will only appear after you’ve saved the village from undead attacks).

For this quest you’ll need to “pass on our appreciation to certain individuals” in Denerim. That is, you’ll need to find the five hooded couriers scattered around Denerim and give each of them a Letter of Appreciation (which you’ll receive when you accept the quest). The locations of the couriers are listed below:

Denerim Market District. You’ll find the courier on the eastern side.
Denerim (Dark Alley). You’ll find the courier on the northern side.
Denerim (Run-Down Back Street). You’ll find the courier on the eastern side.
Denerim (The Pearl). You’ll find the courier near the entrance.
Elven Alienage. You’ll find the courier next to the entrance bridge.

Once you’ve made your deliveries, when you return to any Blackstone Irregulars liaison (in Redcliffe or the Denerim Market District), you’ll receive 1 sovereign and 175 xp.
