The Docks (Act II) – Dragon Age 2 Location

This guide gives players the layout of a location in Act 2 of Dragon Age 2. It’s complete with a map, legend, and overview of the area.

Exits:

• A – Entrances to the Disused Passage. These entrances will only appear at night.
• W – World exit.

Overview

If you explore the Docks at night, then you’ll encounter groups of dwarves called Undercut Thrifters. If you defeat enough of these groups, then you’ll trigger the quest The Lowdown.


1 – Qunari

This qunari will give you the quest The Lost Patrol.


2 – Debris

When you examine the debris here, you’ll gain or update the “lore” codex entry for The Enigma of Kirkwall. You’ll need to find several of these codex entries for the Archaeologist achievement.


3 – Arishok

The Arishok is involved in the quests Blackpowder Courtesy, Following the Qun, and Demands of the Qun.


4 – Senestra

Senestra is involved in the quest A Debt in the Family.


5 – Shady Merchant

The shady merchant will sell you a Coat Lining with Concealed Pockets (an armor upgrade for Varric), Lyrium Scales (an armor upgrade for Fenris), and more.


6 – Mistress Selby

If you’ve been a friend to the mages, and if you completed the quest Underground Railroad, then Mistress Selby will give you some quests, including How to Frame a Templar and Search and Rescue, via the quest book next to her.


7 – Crate

Inside this crate you’ll find a Seal of Dumat, and picking it up will trigger the quest “Seal of the Old God Dumat.” To complete the quest, you’ll need to deliver the seal to Bolund the Amateur Annalist in Hightown (during the day). For your efforts, you’ll receive 1 sovereign and 750 xp.


8 – Bonny Lem’s Wares

Bonny Lem will sell you some nice items, including The Heavens’ Answer, a Poisonwood Locket, and a Puzzle Ring of the Black Fox.


9 – Sack

Inside this sack you’ll find Waxler’s Hat, and picking it up will trigger the quest “Waxler’s Hat.” To complete the quest, you’ll need to deliver the hat to Waxler in the Hanged Man tavern (at night). For your efforts, you’ll receive 1 sovereign and 750 xp.
