Background

You’ll trigger this task if you spot the serial number on the hanged man’s boots (#1). This will happen if you knock on the boots while having at least 4 Conceptualization and 0 Perception.

Walkthrough

To complete the task, you’ll need to make three calls to Alice (the dispatcher for Precinct 57) using the radio in Kim’s car (#2):

• During the first call, Alice will simply write down the serial number and ask you to call her back the next day.
• During the second call, Alice will let you know that the boots were purchased by a security firm called Krenel. When you ask her to find out the name of the person they were fitted for, she’ll once again ask you to call her back the next day.
• For the third call, you’ll have to wait until after you’ve completed the task Question Klaasje about the Dead Man. If you call before this point, then Alice will tell you that she doesn’t know the answer yet, and that you should call her back later.
  
  When Alice does have the information, she’ll tell you that the hanged man was named Ellis Kortenaer, and that he was found in a leaf compactor when he was a baby, and then passed into foster care when he was two. Alice will also list some of the hanged man’s service record, with known stops in Oranje and Seminine.

Completing the three calls will complete the task and earn you 70 xp.
