Background

If you mention your amnesia to Lena in the Whirling-in-Rags (#1), then she’ll test your memory. Regardless of what you say, you’ll fail part of the test, which will trigger this task.

Walkthrough

To learn more about reality, Lena will suggest that you talk to somebody who is rich, since they’re more likely to be educated and know things. The rich person you’ll meet is Joyce Messier, the Wild Pines rep (#2). After asking her about her boat, you’ll be able to ask her for a reality lowdown, and she’ll patiently answer all of your questions. You’re not required to ask her about everything — although doing so will gain you some background information and xp. You’re only required to ask her, “What times are these?” At the end of this long dialogue branch, Joyce will say, “Welcome to reality, baby.” That line will complete the task, earning you 70 xp.

Note: If you follow the “Where are we?” branch of the lowdown, then you’ll unlock the thought Jamais Vu (Derealization).
