Ask the Gardener about Gardening in March Walkthrough

Background

After examining the greenhouse (#1) behind the Whirling-in-Rags, if you ask Cuno (#2) about it, then he’ll mention that the gardener recently stopped working there. If you pass a Logic check, then you’ll trigger this task.

Note: It’s March now.

Walkthrough

You’ll find Elizabeth the gardener (#4) sitting near the entrance to the Whirling-in-Rags (#3). When you ask her about gardening, she’ll mention the benefits of snow. If you pass a Visual Calculus check, then you’ll realize that she’s been sitting in the same place for a long time, and that she has a good view of the entire area — which means she’s probably been spying on you. This will earn you 10 xp. If you fail the Visual Calculus check, then you won’t notice anything wrong with Elizabeth’s story, and you’ll fail the task.

Note: You’ll also fail the task if you don’t complete it on Day 1. On Day 2, Elizabeth will move into the Whirling-in-Rags, and you’ll learn that she’s a lawyer, not a gardener, making the task irrelevant.
