Background

When you examine the backyard wall in Martinaise East (#1), you’ll be presented with an “impossible” Conceptualization check. You can make the check easier by talking to Cindy the Skull (#2), examining the wall at night, and unlocking the thought Actual Art Degree. Passing the Conceptualization check will trigger the task and also heal a point of Morale.

Walkthrough

After passing the Conceptualization check, you’ll decide that the wall needs more artwork, painted by you. So you’ll need two things:

• A paintbrush. For this, you’ll need to talk to the resident artist, Cindy the Skull (#2). If you ask her for a brush, then you’ll be given another “impossible” Conceptualization check, but this one will be red. If you pass the check, then you’ll describe how you want to paint a phoenix and light it on fire. This will impress Cindy, but then she’ll decide that she doesn’t want the competition, and she won’t give you her brush. If you fail the check, then Cindy will give you Cindy’s Brush.
  
  If you talk to Cindy and fail to get her brush, then you’ll need to talk to her again while you’re standing right next to her (rather than on the street below her). This time she’ll hand over Cindy’s Brush without you needing to pass (or fail) any skill checks.
• Paint. For this, you’ll need to head over to the wrecked car in Martinaise West (#4), which you won’t be able to do until Day 3. Right next to the car, you’ll find a Banged-Up Fuel Canister, filled with red-dyed fuel oil, which will work as paint.

When you return to the wall with both items, you’ll get a list of six slogans / pictures to paint on it. If it’s Day 5 or later and you’ve learned about Rene (#3) dying, then you’ll also get an option for “Rene Lives!” It won’t make any difference what you paint. When you make your choice, you’ll complete the task and earn 10 xp. You’ll also lose the Banged-Up Fuel Canister and Cindy’s Brush.

Note: Completing this task can help you to unlock the thought Actual Art Degree.
