Diablo IV Open Beta Dates Announced

Ever since Diablo IV had a closed beta, and Blizzard announced an open beta would be coming, fans have been wondering when they’ll finally be able to try out the game. During IGN’s Fan Fest, we were finally given an answer. Along with showing the game’s opening cinematic, director Joe Shely revealed that the open beta will run from March 24-26, with players that preorder the game getting an extra weekend from March 17-19.

Diablo IV Open Beta Details

On top of revealing the dates of the open beta, Shely gave out some details for players to be aware of as well. He teased a very extensive look at the game, stating that you will be able to play through both the Prologue and Act I of the story. Aside from there being a level cap of 25, there will be no other restrictions during the beta — you can play it as long as you want, and all the areas, campaign quests, and side quests in the Prologue and Act I of the game will be available.

On top of this, if you preorder the game, you will get an extra weekend before the main open beta takes place! This early access beta will be the same as the general one, so all progress will be carried over to the next week. Of course, all of your beta progress will be gone for the main release of the game, so that all players will have an even playing field at launch.

Even though this will basically just be early game content, this open beta should give players a great look at what kind of Classes they will want to play for the main game, and allow them to get an idea on what the overall game will be like. Diablo IV will be releasing on June 2, 2023, and will be available for PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as PC. I'm a huge gamer who especially loves the Final Fantasy series. I will play just about any game, especially if it has anything resembling a Dragoon.
