Walkthrough

Welcome to Liberty Island, the final level of the game. You’ll begin on the north west side of the island if you chose Ava. If you picked Sid, you’ll land on the old UNATCO helipad to the far west, and a little south, below the glowing UNATCO building on the map. If that’s the case, pick up at #5 after reading this paragraph. Every glowing area on the map is an important area. The North Docks is Tracer Tong, who is an optional quest I’ll only describe if you take the Renegade ending. The Bunker K is Saman and company (PAP’s), the south is the Illuminati Encampment and Chad Dumier & Nicolette DuClare. The Statue Entrance is all ApostleCorp, JC and Paul inside. And the UNATCO building is where you get to decide which ending you want… so that’s where we’ll go first, after we take care of the immediate threat.

Notice a Hunter Seeker bot to the east and a PAP (Power Armored Paladin) patrolling just south of where you are. Hide behind a crate to avoid their notice. I’d recommend taking both out using whatever method you wish, especially if you want to play every ending. Remember, if you don’t have the Spy Drone, the Mag Rail works the best for PAP’s.

Now for a description. If you’re sided with ApostleCorp and revived Paul, everyone in the central building under the statue will be friendly to you, including JC and Paul of course. If you did not give blood but terminated Paul to side with the Illuminati, everyone but the Illuminati at the South Docks will be hostile. And if you gave blood to Dr. Todd in Cairo, you’ll have a hard time at the South Docks and central statue building, but not the East Side. Absolutely none of the battles are too tough though for you at this point, so let’s continue.

Head south and you’ll come to a small building with useful supplies, and two spiderbots nearby. If you don’t yet have the Rocket Launcher, pick one up just outside the building. The Gray in front of the Statue Entrance should be friendly if you’re presently allied with ApostleCorp. Head inside if you want and talk with JC and Paul and get a survey of the area. Continue south until you can view the south docks. The sniper rifle works beautifully on this level, and here’s an example. You can take all the Illuminati Elite Guards (IEG’s), which should be around four, down from afar.

Head west toward the UNATCO building, and walk around it to the helipad and the small comm van that Leo directs you to. He’s inside with a BLACK MARKET BIOMOD CANISTER. Listen to what Leo says, and decide whether it makes sense. Save your game in case you want to play this ending, and simply skip now to the Renegade Ending. It essentially requires that you take out all the leaders (JC, Saman, Chad) and destroy the machine in the Statue. Not too hard, but I might suggest playing it after the others so that you better know where things are.

Time for the neraby UNATCO building. Down the entrance ramp, you’ll find an aggressive Hunter Seeker bot. After he’s disabled, head inside and through the door to the UNATCO HQ interior.

Once inside, continue on the path until you see a flag on the left side. If you’ve reached the stairs down to the two bums, you’ve gone too far. It’s just before that. Pick up the flag and take it down the stairs to the two bums, one of them named “Bum Leader.” Talk to the leader, buy his items if you want, and drop the flag here. Just below the ledge is a PAP, and two more not too far away that may come. Toss a couple EMP grenades down to blow the PAP up, and if others come, deal with them as well.

Pick up the flag, take the left stairway down from where the two bums are/were, take a right and enter the first office on your left. At the back of the office is an empty bathroom save a toilet. Save your game, and use the toilet with Flag in hand. You’ll be teleported to the “real endgame” dance jam, with the characters from the game dancing at the Club Vox, and with many floating datacubes containing quotes from the Dev. Team. Reload your game.

Toss the flag, exit the office, and continue down the stairs toward the Aquinas Control room. Two more PAP’s await, if they didn’t already come up and join the first. There’s another PAP inside the left corridor below. After he’s dealt with, head left, and follow it all the way down to what were the old interrogation cells in Deus Ex. In the left is an assortment of goodies, including a Rocket Launcher you should grab if you still don’t have one. Not that you’ll need it, but it’s good to have as an alternate strategy. Stock up and head back out, and then take a left to the Aquinas Control room. Down this corridor, take another left into the room, which was once Alex. J’s office from the first game.

If you haven’t gone out on your own and destroyed either Chad Dumier or Saman, Chad will comm you and Saman will holocomm you as you proceed to the back of the room. At the back is the panel you will use to determine the ending of the game. Save your game here if you want to play them all, and activate the computer.

If you want to support the ApostleCorp, choose Upload Spec to JC, and continue to the ApostleCorp Ending.

If you want to support the Illuminati, choose Upload Spec to Illuminati, and continue to the Illuminati Ending.

If you want to support the Templars, choose Upload Spec to Templars, and continue to the Templars Ending.

And, it’s not too late to choose the Renegade ending. Exit the computer, and see the Renegade Ending.
