Western Island – Champions of Norrath

This guide will walk you through the Western Island in Act III of Champions of Norrath.

1 – BABIK

The first thing you’ll find on this map is Babik Nurin, who has gotten himself captures by the slavers. He could leave the cage he’s in, but sees no point as there are a zillion slavers (OK 50-something) in the immediate area. Your next task is to kill them all, so he’ll go back to Water’s Edge. . . or something. I’m just not sure why a dark elf wouldn’t let him rot based on the information he would have at this point. You have to do this quest, though, because he rewards you a conch shell, which you need to give to the mermaid. Suddenly this has become a lot more King’s Quest than I would have thought. Annoyingly, he doesn’t give it to you right there, so you can go back to through the cave and give it to her right away. Instead, he heads back to Water’s Edge and you get a pop-up informing you that you might want to find him there.

2 – BEACHCOMBER

Anyway, to do the quest, you’ve got to explore the entire island, including the two caves and kill all the slavers. I can’t tell you where the slavers all are (or where the caves are, until we get the maps up), so you’ll just have to let your mini-map be your guide.

3 – PORTAL

Take the portal back to Water’s Edge to find Babik and get the shell. You’ll find him by heading down the dock that’s off by itself away from the other two docks. When you get the shell, go back and give it to the mermaid.
