Plane of Air – Champions of Norrath

This guide will walk you through the Plane of Air in Act IV of Champions of Norrath.

1 – BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

Before you arrive at the Plane of Air, you are presented with a cutscene where Pelys, who used to be the orc chief and is now an elf, proclaims that he’s won and will conquer all of Norrath (or something like that). Before he can celebrate, though, Innoruuk appears and calls him out for something and then sics a demon on him. The demon looks really cool and does one of the neatest things I’ve seen a monster do in a game. He kills Pelys and then yanks his soul out of his body, knocks it onto the string of his bow and fires it at the bridge you’re standing on.

After this scene, you find yourself enjoying the peaceful beauty of the Plane of Air. You meet Natasla, who tells yout that you need to go fight Innoruuk’s minion – he of the soul-flinging – before you can get down to business and take on Innoruuk. You can get back to the Plane of Hate simply by choosing it from her dialogue options, but I recommend heading north first to save your game and to activate the portal.

2 – PORTAL

Once you’ve activated this portal, you’ll be able to travel to the Plane of Hate without choosing the option from Natasla at area #1.

3 – SAVE POINT

This is a very important save area, since it will be the last one you use before you take on Innoruuk himself. I’d recommend using it before each trip back to the Plane of Hate.

4 – THE CLEANSING

After freeing Firiona from Innoruuk’s clutches, you’ll be instructed to “cleanse yourself of hate” before entering battle with the god himself. Once you’ve saved your game one last time, head through this gate to take Innoruuk on and purge Norrath of his presence.
