Sea Temple Pt. 2 – Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance II

This guide will walk you through the second level of the Sea Temple in Chapter Two of Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance II.

1 – Choices?

Ah, finally, some choices. There’s a door to the north, and a passage to the east. Oh, wait – the door is locked. Nevermind. Head east to a pillared room.

2 – Pillared Room

There are side areas off the pillared room to the south and northeast. Loot the chests and leave the room to the east.

3 – Sort of Secret Rooms

As you head north, you’ll eventually run into a save point. You can access a couple of semi-secret rooms to the east or north in the same manner as you have accessed other secret rooms in the temple.

4 – Completing the Circuit

Head west when you have looted all four chests in the secret side rooms and you will eventually complete the circuit, ending up in the room north of the starting room that you couldn’t enter previously.

5 – Dibtolpt

If you want to take on the next boss fight right away, head north. You’ll meet Dibtolpt, the high priest of Blibdoolpoolp, the sea-goddess of the frog-men. Since you’ve violated the sanctity of the temple, he decides you should be the next sacrifice. When you’ve beaten him, head further north to an altar.

6 – Desecration

Examine the altar to take the Oceanic Urn and then further desecrate it by jumping up on top of it to take the coins that have been thrown there. You can open the secret door to the north easily, but getting into the other four rooms is trickier. Go into the southwest room and push the north wall to enter the northwest room. Doing this will open the door to the northeast room, where you can push on the south wall to get to the southeast room.

7 – Cleaning Up

If you didn’t earlier, take the west path from the room between the two rooms with save points. This will allow you to clean up any remaining frog-men and take you back to the exit. Of course, you can always use a recall potion. Unfortunately, whichever route you take, the Urn will not be in your possession when you get back to Baldur’s Gate. Go ask Jherek what to do next.

I love RPGs, MMOs, and weird little indie games. Anything that lets me build and decorate or just has a really good story. I've spent hundreds of hours in Bethesda games and even more time modding them. I also play a lot of World of Warcraft.
