Luvia’s Laboratory – Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance II

This guide will walk you through the Luvia’s Laboratory area of Bloodmire Manor in Chapter One of Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance II.

1 – Creepy

Somehow you’ve left Baldur’s Gate and entered Silent Hill. You’ll fight lots of creepy Frankenstein-like monsters.

2 – Right on Cue

Head north to a room with a chest in the corner. As you approach it, all the cells will open and you’ll have to deal with what’s in them. Make sure to search the cells for another chest.

3 – Snoop

Backtrack south and then head east. You’ll find a letter Luvia Bloodmire has written to a Lady F. Apparently all the monsters Luvia has been creating are to be sold to Lady F. The Hand of Glory has been providing her with fresh victims. Although the letter would be good evidence, you don’t get the option of taking it.

4 – Cell Snooping

Continuing on, you’ll find a couple of cells that you can open. One has a chest and another has a servant inside who would rather stay there than deal with what’s on the outside.

5 – Secret Area

A little further north, there are two more cells. One has a loose tile that you can step on to open the door to the north. Go through and deal with the monsters.

7 – Another Hidden Switch

Go to the very back of the room and kill the undead in the corner. Investigate the area where he was standing and you’ll find a hidden lever. Pull it to open the cell door opposite and loot the chest in that room. Backtrack to where you were and continue north.

8 – Lever

You’ll eventually enter a large room that has two levels. Kill all the creatures and pull the lever on the upper platform. That opens the door to the north. Prepare for a minor boss fight before proceeding through the door.

9 – Atrocious

You’ll fight a two headed version of the horse mutants you’ve been fighting lately. There are four regular versions to contend with, as well. Try to kill the regular horse mutants and then unload on Atrocious with a ranged weapon to keep him from using his poison breath attack. Winning the fight clears the way to the Lower Laboratory.

I love RPGs, MMOs, and weird little indie games. Anything that lets me build and decorate or just has a really good story. I've spent hundreds of hours in Bethesda games and even more time modding them. I also play a lot of World of Warcraft.
