Firewind Manor – Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance II

This guide will walk you through the Firewind Manor area in Chapter One of Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance II.

1 – Bookcase

Push on the back of the bookcase in front of you to exit the room. Pulling the lever will take you back downstairs.

2 – Eavesdropping

Heading north past the save point, you’ll get a chance to eavesdrop on a conversation between Lady Firewind and Kharne. Just as she did your dirty work by killing the Red Queen, Lady Firewind apparently wants to do it again by burning down her own house.

3 – Alzagora

When she’s finished talking to Kharne, Lady Firewind will call you out. She shows you her true form (with a name like Firewind, you knew she was a dragon, right?), then bursts through the roof and sets the manor on fire. You’ll have to escape before it collapses on you.

4 – Hardhat Area

Make your way north to a chest that contains a key to one of the rooms. Beams will be falling on you from time to time, so you better have some healing potions.

5 – Reward

When you get far enough north, the Felldane ghost will reward you even though you had nothing to do with destroying the manor. You get a +1 Grand Ring of Fire, a +1 Remarkable Sacred Amulet, 1000 gp, and 250 xp. If you feel like braving the fire some more, the key you got opens a room to the east that has some servants you can rescue. The chest outside the door has a key that opens a door to the west that has some treasure.

6 – Baldur’s Gate

Exit all the way to the north to return to Baldur’s Gate.
