Armor – Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance

Welcome to our Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance armor section! Here you can find key information on armor modifiers and acquiring armor.

Armor can possess any of the following modifiers, each of which affect its price, weight, or armor class:

Worn: Decreases armor class and reduces price value of item by 1/2.
Elven: Decreases weight by 1/2 and increases price value of item.
Jeweled: Doubles price value of item.
+(x): Adds (x) amount to the armor class of the armor, which can be anywhere from 1-5. Also greatly increases price value of item.

In addition to random drops, you can also purchase armor from the following three shopkeepers:

Bartley: (Act I) Padded, Leather, Studded, and Scale
Branoch: (Act II) Padded, Leather, Studded, Scale, and Chain
Sleyvas: (Act III) Scale, Chain, Half Plate, and Full Plate

Note: All three shopkeepers sell just about any type of armor if you’re playing in Extreme difficulty mode.
