Heroes of Might and Magic V Reviews

Two more fairly positive reviews for Ubisoft and Nival’s Heroes of Might and Magic V bring the weekend to a close. The first is at BlueAlien.org with an overall score of 87%:

The mechanics are solid, tried and true as they are and the graphics aren’t bad. The biggest problem stems from the interface and the lack of features that should be obvious. Heroes of Might and Magic V is a good buy for the price. The game is a worthy addition to the genre and its success will hopefully propel the Might and Magic franchise to new heights.

And the second is at Gamer Within with an overall score of 7.9/10:

I have always been a fan of the Heroes of reasonable Might and measurable Magic series, not to the extreme ‘˜never stop playing and make my own costumes like the Heroes have,’ more in the ‘˜this game is fun, I’m gonna play a few maps in my spare time’ way. It’s a fun game, and the genre is pretty thin. the series has pretty much sat on or around the top for its entire lifespan, and no doubt it deserves it. It’s just that this installment feels much more like the last game than most of the ones before it felt like the previous games. It’s a game that sits on the safe side, while trying something new, and ends playing much the same. Altogether a solid package, although it’s missing some things like the map maker, and the sound is horrible, but still a very playable game.
