Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures Peek #2

RPG Vault has published the second installment to their ongoing “peek” feature for Funcom’s online RPG, Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures. This time around, the article provides us with a few details about the game’s artwork. A snip:

The first thing the art team and the art director started working on back in 2003 was the overall “art bible” for the project, setting the mood and direction for the entire flow of the graphical production of the project. This essential document currently clocks in at several hundred pages, and makes sure everyone working on art, both internally and externally, is on the same track when it comes to the look and feel of the world. Within it, you find the very foundation of the world of Hyboria, ranging from moods to colors to architecture; from clothes and armor to the looks of the various civilizations, even down to what their tapestry look like and what ornaments they might use; what animals and wildlife are to be found in the region, and so on. To say the least, it’s detailed.
